Primary care services for children ages 13 to 19
Lakeland Primary Care is committed to providing the highest-quality health care in a compassionate environment that is most comfortable for your child. Some teens and young adults are more comfortable transitioning from a “baby doctor” to a provider that tends to see more grown-ups. And this is ok, our family medicine providers will see babies to the very elderly. Internal medicine tend to focus on 18 years and up. Sometimes it’s more convenient for the entire family to see one doctor, for convenience or for the doctor to understand the entire family dynamic, these might be other reasons for a teen or young adult to switch to a new primary care provider.
