The psychosocial oncology program is devoted to helping cancer patients and their families navigate the cancer experience from the time of diagnosis, through treatment and recovery, to the return to usual roles and lifestyle.
Psychosocial oncology involves a whole-person approach to cancer care that addresses a range of human needs that can improve or optimize the best possible quality of life for individuals and their networks affected by cancer.
