Corewell Health Lory’s Place to Host Pet Remembrance Event in September

(ST. JOSEPH) - Corewell Health Lory's Place, a grief healing and education team, is hosting a pet remembrance celebration on Sept. 1 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. This is a free event, which will be facilitated by a bereavement coordinator, aimed to provide a safe and supportive opportunity for people to connect and enjoy time with others, whose pets have died. Space is limited and an RSVP is required by Aug. 25. Adults and children can attend.

“To many people, pets are family, and their death has a great impact,” said Stephanie Kohler-Pagan, director of bereavement, Corewell Health Lory’s Place. “This opportunity to honor, remember and reflect on the life we shared with our pet is important to healing well.”
